Lot of mid-range and budget devices show advertisements in their UI and in notifications, that is a bad sign from a user perspective. Smartphone companies try to earn extra money by showing advertisements to users and sometimes users get irritated from unwanted things. So, lag-free and Ad-free UI plays an important role in users daily usage.
Software and Security Updates
Time to time software and security updates are also mandatory things that every user wants. System needs an update after some time and it also helps to fix some bugs and improvise user experience. Snapdragon processors are considered as powerful compared to other processors but you must have to look at which Snapdragon processor is used in smartphones. You also have to look at which technology is used in that processor for example 8nm, 7nm or 5nm (Lowest is greater). The 5nm processor is considered as the most powerful and efficient.
RAM
You also have to look at how much RAM and which type of RAM offered by the company in that particular device. In 2021, you must have to buy at-least 4GB RAM device. RAM is helpful during multitasking, while running multiple apps and games. LPDDR5 is considered as the most powerful and efficient RAM but in a budget smartphone you might get LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X RAM.
